Ciao, sono Claudio Tagliabue, ma per chi ascolta la mia musica sono ClaT.

La musica, per me, non è mai stata solo un hobby: è un modo di leggere il mondo. Sono nato e cresciuto tra i suoni di Como e la mia vita è stata scandita da corde, plettri e palchi. Ho passato anni bellissimi a suonare con i Dusk (dal lontano 1998!) e con altri progetti tra cui i Like Looking for Gold. Sono state esperienze che mi hanno formato, insegnandomi che suonare non è solo tecnica, ma intesa e condivisione.

Poi è arrivato il 2020. Quello che per molti è stato un anno di stop forzato, per me è diventato il momento in cui ho sentito l’urgenza di camminare da solo. Chiuso in casa, ho trasformato il mio studio nel mio rifugio creativo: ho iniziato a suonare ogni strumento, a sperimentare e a catturare le idee nel momento esatto in cui nascevano. È così che è nato davvero il progetto ClaT.

Il primo album, “Directions”, è stato la mia “dichiarazione d’intenti”: un mix tra le mie radici rock e un sound più moderno e asciutto. Da lì, non mi sono più fermato. Ho pubblicato Ep come “March ’20” e “L’ipnotica fine di settembre con tornado in via Giovio”, ho esplorato il minimalismo strumentale in “Sauna Chronicles” e sono arrivato fino al 2025 con il doppio album “Logic”.

Ogni mio brano è un pezzo di me, un tentativo di tradurre in musica quello che penso, quello che vedo e quello che vivo.

Hi, I’m Claudio Tagliabue, but to those who listen to my music, I’m ClaT.

Music has never just been a hobby for me: it’s a way of reading the world. I was born and raised surrounded by the sounds of Como, and my life has been defined by strings, picks, and stages. I spent some wonderful years playing with Dusk (dating back to 1998!) and laying down the rhythm with Like Looking for Gold and other projects. Those experiences shaped who I am, teaching me that playing music isn’t just about technique—it’s about connection and sharing.

Then 2020 happened. What was a forced pause for many became the moment I felt the urgency to walk my own path. Locked away at home, I turned my studio into my creative refuge: I started playing every instrument myself, experimenting, and capturing ideas exactly as they came to me. That’s how the ClaT project really came to life.

My first album, “Directions”, was my “statement of intent”: a mix of my rock roots and a more modern, stripped-back sound. Since then, I haven’t stopped. I’ve released EPs like “March ’20” and “L’ipnotica fine di settembre con tornado in via Giovio”, explored instrumental minimalism in “Sauna Chronicles”, and kept the momentum going up to 2025 with the double album “Logic”.

Every track of mine is a piece of me—an attempt to translate what I think, what I see, and what I experience into music.
